Our MIssion statement
The Federal Innocence Project is a passion of necessity. It was born from the minds of dedicated patriots who fight for the justice of underprivileged Americans. The original founders were once incarcerated in a federal prison and worked daily to gain the release of the innocent and the over sentenced.
Our Mission is to provide a limited legal service to those who cannot otherwise afford a professional attorney. Our services are low cost and/or pro bono in qualifying cases. Our priority, at The Federal Innocence Project, is to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
Ineffective Assistance of CounselOvercoming the Inevitable
Ineffective assistance of counsel has become a National epidemic. This travesty is at the root of the Mass-Incarceration problem that currently plagues the American people. What's truly shocking is the years lost and the pain caused because of lawyers and judges who refuse to provide their honest service. You don't have to be a victim.
